Churches Break Ground On House

TAMPA - Eight area churches, including Bayshore Presbyterian, First Presbyterian, Hyde Park Presbyterian and Palma Ceia Presbyterian, are contributing money and muscle to build a house for Bonifacia 'Bonnie' Buenaflor in northeast Tampa.
Sponsored by Habitat for Humanity, the project's groundbreaking ceremonies were held Sept. 29. Working mainly on weekends, the group hopes to have the house completed by January.
Buenaflor was born in the Philippines in 1932 and raised four children there before moving to the United States.
