'Jewtopia,' the comedy that goes where no gentile has gone before, plays Friday through Nov. 11 in Jaeb Theater at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, 1010 N. W.C. MacInnes Place.

The story of a Christian who wants to marry a Jewish girl, 'Jewtopia' is an over-the-top guide to Judaism.

'Ugliest' Charity Event
Tampa Bay's hottest party coordinators, the 13 Ugly Men, host the 10th annual Halloween Freakshow from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Friday at Club Underground, 802 E. Whiting St.

The party features entertainment and costume contest with cash prizes. Proceeds benefit A Gift for Adoption.

Get Your Freak On

Guavaween, the annual Halloween fundraiser for the Ybor City Chamber of Commerce, is Saturday in Ybor City.

The event kicks off with the Family FunFest, presented by The Tampa Tribune, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The FunFest includes a Guava Love It cooking contest, amusement rides, spooky stories, arts and crafts and safe trick-or-treating. The cost is $5 per person.

The Guavaween Night of Costumed Revelry offers live music, a costume contest and the Mama Guava Stumble Parade. Advance tickets are $15 and are available at www.cc-events.org/gw/.

See Historic Mansion

The Mayfair, a historical Tudor mansion decorated by Bay-area interior designers, will be open to the public Saturday through Nov. 18 at MacDill Avenue and Agawan Street.

Under the direction of nationally renowned luxury home designer Thomas Everett Lamb, the Mayfair's 5,300-square-foot interior and exterior have been refurbished.

Tickets are $20 at the door, with proceeds benefiting the Bolesta Center and The Spring of Tampa Bay. For group ticket sales, call (813) 932-1184, Ext. 21.

Jazz At Tampa Theatre Acoustic Alchemy performs at 8 p.m. Saturday at Tampa Theatre, 711 N. Franklin St.

Guitarists Greg Carmichael and Miles Gilderdale celebrate two decades as an evolving, powerhouse force in contemporary jazz.

Tickets are $30 and are available at the Tampa Theatre box office or by calling Ticketmaster at (813) 287-8844.

Solid Gold Soul

Enjoy a night of classic soul music at 8 p.m. Saturday in Carol Morsani Hall at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, 1010 N. W.C. MacInnes Place.

Solid Gold Soul features artists Jerry Butler, Gene Chandler, Billy Paul and the Impressions performing such hits as 'Only the Strong Survive,' 'Me and Mrs. Jones' and 'People Get Ready.'

Cemetery Tour

Join friends new, old and dead at 3 p.m. Sunday for a walking tour of Oaklawn Cemetery, Tampa's Victorian-era graveyard at Morgan and Harrison streets.

Historian/actor Maureen Patrick, dressed as the 19th century character Miss Prudence Fipwhistle, leads the tour through Tampa's oldest cemetery.

Make It Miles

Jazz legend Buddy Miles performs at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Skipper's Smokehouse, 910 Skipper Road.

Miles' career spans nearly 50 years, including 70 albums and six world tours. He is probably best known for recording the California Raisins commercial featuring animated dancing raisins.
