Woman's Club Plans Fashion Show And Tea

BAYSHORE - The Tampa Woman's Club will sponsor a Fashion Show and Tea to benefit LifePath Hospice at the University Village retirement center from 2 to 4 p.m. Aug. 14.

Free transportation will be available, leaving the club, 2901 Bayshore Blvd., at 1:15 p.m.

A minimum donation of $10 is requested for the event. Reservations are requested; call (813) 839-7457.
Candidates Forum At Joint Meeting

DOWNTOWN - The Tiger Bay Club of Tampa and League of Women Voters Hillsborough County will sponsor an Aug. 15 forum featuring Hillsborough County primary election candidates.

The luncheon will be at Maestro's at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, 1010 N. MacInnes Place. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m., and the lunch is at noon.

Candidates for the county commission, school board and property appraiser have confirmed their participation.

Tickets are $25 for club and league members, $30 for others. The deadline for tickets is Aug. 14, and reservations can be made at www.tigerbay

club.com.

Skipper's To Host Fishing School
NORTH TAMPA - Skipper's Smokehouse will host an inshore fishing school taught by Fred Everson, a local captain and fishing guide.

The event will be from 7 to 10 p.m. Tuesday at the restaurant, 910 Skipper Road.

It will include information on casting, artificial baits, fishing equipment and other topics.

The cost, $25, includes a copy of Everson's book "Fish the Flats."
