WEST TAMPA - Members of the Old West Tampa Improvement League spent a recent Saturday morning planting lantana and jasmine in their neighborhood. They focused on intersections including Chestnut Street at Howard Avenue and Spruce Street at Albany Avenue.
The organization formed in April to help beautify the area and holds neighborhood plantings from time to time. Members also pay to have rights of way mowed twice a month.
