SOUTH TAMPA - In keeping with the tradition of being helpful, Boy Scout Troop 22 had a successful food and clothing drive for Metropolitan Ministries.
At a recent meeting, troop members brought in more than 40 pairs of shoes, 200 pounds of food and $100 in gift certificates, as well as large bags full of clothes.
Troop 22 is chartered through Hyde Park United Methodist Church, with Rich Garnek serving as Scoutmaster; Kyle Fernandez as senior patrol leader; and Jay Gadsby as committee chairman.
