DOWNTOWN - The Patel Conservatory at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center hosted Kidz Connect, a summer camp program promoting cultural exchange through theatrical performance.
From June 9-27 the conservatory and the IVKO Montessori School in Amsterdam, Netherlands, brought together teenagers in each city to share theatrical experiences. Using video streams, the Internet and the virtual world Teen Second Life, the 30 teens created live theater and online performances based on the theme "What Is Real?"
The program culminated in performances on the conservatory's stage, on the Internet and at Teen Second Life.
