WEST TAMPA - Mary Lee's House, a child advocacy and protection center, received rave reviews at its grand opening Oct. 29.
The two-story, 30,000-square-foot building, 2806 N. Armenia Ave., will house investigators from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, the 13th Judicial Circuit's Children's Justice Center and the child protection team from the University of South Florida's pediatrics department.
The project cost $4.5 million, said Peg Reese, executive director of the nonprofit Mary Lee's House.
"It is such a milestone for us, for the community and for all the partners that work on child protection issues," Reese said.
