PALMA CEIA - Hundreds attended the funeral of Plant High School senior Allyson Faulk, who died following a car wreck Nov. 14.
Faulk was driving to a football game at Florida State University in Tallahassee with three friends, Lizzy Mischo, 18; Kristen Hurst, 17; and Karlyn McKell, 17. While northbound on Interstate 75 near Gainesville, Faulk lost control of the vehicle. She hit several trees, and the car caught on fire, killing Faulk and injuring her friends.
Following last week's funeral at Christ the King Catholic Church, TBO.com posted an online guestbook linked to the story. On the following page are some of the comments that people posted.
As hard as it seems now, you WILL be able to laugh again. The human spirit can endure more than one can imagine. And you have an entire community here to help you along the way. My very best to you and your family during this difficult time.

Ally was an amazing student and an even more amazing friend. Her smile and bubbly personality will be missed so much here at Plant. God bless you. Prayers and thoughts go out to you and your family.

I did not know your daughter, but I have a daughter also, and I can only imagine the pain you are going through. My prayers are with you and your family. Just remember the Lord will bring you through this time of sorrow

Dearest Kim, Joe, Christopher, Doris, Jim, Beverly,
I am so deeply saddened of the news, and all of you have been in my thoughts and prayers constantly. The miles have made it unfortunate for me to truly get to know Ally as she grows up but the e-mails, cards and holiday visits allowed me to watch her grow from an infant to a young lady. I have snapshots in my mind from the times I held her when she was less than a year old to the annual holiday visits at any given location. And now to read what I have about her and all that loved her touches me even more. You all have raised quite a young lady, and for that I know you are proud. Kim, my 8-year-old buddy, my forever friend buddy, I am here for you for anything you might need (day or night). I love you all very much, and Ally will always remain close to my heart!

My 18 year old daughter was killed in a crash on I-4 in January 2000. I KNOW what you all are going through! Only faith in GOD and the knowledge that I will see my daughter again has kept me going. I pray that a loving God will somehow comfort you and walk with you in the days, weeks, and years ahead! You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
