BAYSHORE GARDENS - Seated on a newly paved driveway and shaded by oak trees, members of the Tampa Federation of Garden Club Circles cut the ribbon on the first phase of improvements to their clubhouse.
The $140,000 project included expanding the driveway, removing asphalt on the north side of the building and adding an entrance gate along Rubideaux Street. The ribbon cutting Sept. 24 marked the end of the two-year fundraising effort and ushers in the second phase, which members said could include a teaching garden.
"Today marks another milestone in the life of this organization," President Billye Hemphill said. "The members should be proud."
