WEST TAMPA - Plans call for improving Howard and Armenia avenues by upgrading on-street parking and pedestrian safety and adding traffic calming.
Now county and city officials want the public to discuss the options. A meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Centro Espanol de West Tampa, 2306 N. Howard Ave.
The goal is to start the project in November. On Howard, work will be done from Green to Beach streets; on Armenia, work will be done from Union to Beach streets.
Steve Valdez, a county public works spokesman, said officials have had discussions with local activists but want feedback from a larger community group.
For information, call Valdez at (813) 272-5275.
