SUNSET PARK - The Sunset Park Garden Club will have its annual Plant Sale and Flea Market from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at its clubhouse, 4624 W. Browning Ave.
The event features decorating items, toys and other merchandise; admission is free. At 10 a.m., there will be a garden tour and presentation by Val Van Orden, aka "The Passionate Gardener," who will discuss how to create special effects in the garden.

Organic Gardener Guest At Meeting
PALMA CEIA - Rick Martinez, owner of Organic Integrity and manager of Bern's organic garden, will speak at Monday's meeting of the Parkland Garden Club.

Chairwoman Named For Tree Of Life Event
DOWNTOWN - Debra Roberts Bellanti, president and founder of the Tampa-based graphic design company DebraRobertsDesign, has been named chairwoman of The Salvation Army's Tree of Life Breakfast.
The 15th annual event will be Nov. 12 at the Tampa Convention Center; it draws more than 600 business and community leaders each year.
Gayle Sierens of WFLA, Channel 8, will be master of ceremonies, and Belinda Womack will perform along with The Salvation Army Band.

Chamber To Honor Theater's Founder
YBOR CITY - The Ybor City Chamber of Commerce will present the Gonzmart Award to Rene J. Gonzalez, founder and director of the Spanish Lyric Theatre.
The presentation will be made at the chamber's annual gala Nov. 7 at the Columbia Restaurant.
The award, which is named for Cesar and Adela Gonzmart, recognizes an individual, family or corporation for promoting the cultural preservation and commercial revitalization of Ybor City.

'Divas To Demons' At Women's Club
BEACH PARK - Tampa Opera League members will be featured in a program called "Divas to Demons" at Friday's meeting of the Beach Park Women's Club.
The meeting will be at the group's clubhouse, 801 S. West Shore Blvd. Social time is at 10:30 a.m., the meeting is at 10:45 a.m. and there's a luncheon at noon.
Janice Lindgren and Anna Snipes are the luncheon hosts and will be assisted by Lisa Ethier, Frances Hand, Janice Keetch, Faith Morris, Jill Oransky and Cindy Ruff.
Marilyn Silverman is in charge of the guest book.
