Helping The Hospital

DAVIS ISLANDS - Representatives of Tampa Electric/TECO Energy and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 108, gathered at Tampa General Hospital recently to present donations totaling $40,000 to the TGH Regional Burn Center.
IBEW presented a check for $25,000, which it raised during the union's annual golf tournament in April. Tampa Electric/TECO Energy added a donation of $15,000.
The golf tournament was first held in 2000 in honor of TECO employees who had been killed or injured. Since then, the tournament's proceeds, combined with TECO's donations, have provided more than $260,000 to Tampa General.
