TAMPA - Tatyana Hankinson will show more than 50 works in a solo show today through Oct. 2 at The Great Frame Up, 3810 Neptune St., Unit B-3.
Since moving to Tampa seven years ago from her native Uzbekistan, the 40-year-old Hankinson has become known around town for her skills in a wide range of media, including pencil, pastel, photography, acrylics, oils and watercolors.
She does abstracts as well as realistic paintings; she can re-create a dreary New York City street, a sun-drenched hill in Aspen or an old wooden house on a Tampa street.
Meet Hankinson at the free opening reception from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday. There will be music and food in celebration of her homeland, and a silent auction will benefit the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.
Call the Great Frame Up at (813) 254-5423 for information.
