TAMPA - For the 34th year, retired businessman Al Noto and friends served up an Italian feast in honor of St. Joseph.
The St. Joseph's Day Feast took place March 19 at the West Tampa Convention Center, with proceeds benefiting the MacDonald Training Center. Many of the center's clients waited tables.
Diners were treated to a lunch of spaghetti, fish, Swiss chard and cauliflower, and they were encouraged to make a donation for the meal. More than 1,200 lunches were served, making it one of the most successful feasts. About $17,000 was raised in donations, all of which goes to funding services for developmentally disabled adults.
