SOUTH TAMPA - Winners of the Tampa Bay Young Professionals Awards were announced March 28 at the Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk. Hosted by the South Tampa Young Leaders and Executives, the awards honored businesses' achievements in relationship building, professional development, philanthropic activity and community contribution.

The 2009 Young Professional of the Year award went to Amy Alix of Progress Energy Florida.
