GANDY - Robinson High School's Starlets have entered the competitive domain of winter guard under the direction of coach Jamie Dyer. Winter guard participants create a conceptual show featuring dance (modern, contemporary, classical), flag work and spinning of rifle and saber. While similar to the work they do with the school's marching band, the show is performed on a gymnasium floor. In the team's first competition, Jan. 17 in Orlando, it placed third out of 27 teams. Teammates include Mary Ann Dugay, Shana Jenkins, Venessa Arellano, Kayla Arnold, Nichole Bowe, Julia Couto, Kali Danile, Liz Edgerley, Anastasia Gaertner, Ashley Hance, Kristen Klimley, Mariana Larios, Savannah Loaiza, Ariel Lussier, Ashley Soon and Althea Gerard.
