TAMPA - It's a big weekend with Valentine's Day and the Knight Parade. Several organizations are having celebrations in conjunction with them.
The events include:
•Wild at Heart at Lowry Park Zoo on Thursday, Friday and Saturday with tours beginning at 5:30 or 6 p.m. This fourth annual tour and progressive dinner, for ages 21 and older, will feature guided tours and stories about the pairing, partnering and mating habits of the zoo's animal residents. It includes food and an open bar along the route. Tickets are $55 for the public and $50 for annual zoo pass members. •Valentine's Ball at Centro Asturiano on Friday, with group swing lessons at 8 p.m. and the dance at 9 p.m. The event features the Juke Joint Kings, a five-piece jump/blues group, prizes and chocolates. • Little Black Dress Soiree and Casino Night Fundraiser at 7 p.m. Friday at the Don Vincent de Ybor Historic Inn. Sponsored by the Thieves of San Lorenzo, the event features casino games, food, drinks and a live auction. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Crisis Center of Tampa. The inn is at 1915 N. • Valentine's Day Dinner Dance from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at LaVelle Hall, 5320 S. MacDill Ave. The event includes a full dinner with wine, and Latin, salsa, swing and other dances. Tickets are $15 a person or $25 a couple. Reservations are needed by today by calling (813) 927-4370.
•Pre-Parade Party at the Hilton Garden Inn, 1700 E. Ninth Ave., Ybor City, at 2 p.m. Saturday. Hosted by the Spirit of Cigar City Krewe, the event includes a full buffet dinner and a cash bar. Tickets are $20. For information, e-mail Victoria Cain Strull at vcainstrull@yahoo.com.
•Krash Party at the Italian Club at 9 p.m. Saturday. The sixth-annual event, hosted by Krewes Kare, features food, drink, music by The Breezin Band and DJ Pat George. Tickets are $40 each and available at The Bead Barn, Buccaneer Beads and through www .kreweskare.com. Proceeds help victims of hurricanes.
•Krewe of St. Florian 10th Anniversary Celebration at The Ritz, 1603 E. Seventh Ave., Ybor City. It is on Saturday, after the Knight Parade, and includes food, live band and a cash bar. Tickets are $15 at the door.
•Knight at the Cuban Club on Saturday after the parade. The event includes food, drinks and music by Stormbringer, Georgia Satellites and Basic Rock Outfit. Tickets are $69 from www.cubanclub .thundertix.com.

Several krewes, including F-Troop, Shamrock and Mustang Sallies and Ryders, had pre- and post-Gasparilla socials and dinners last week.
Salesian Sisters Celebrate Centennial
WEST A Feb. 28 Mass and dinner will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Salesian Sisters' arrival in the United States.
The Mass will be at 4 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 3012 W. Cherry St. A dinner and reception will be at 5:30 p.m. at the Salesian Youth Center Gym at Villa Madonna, 315 W. Columbus Drive.
A sponsorship for a table for 10 ranges from $500 to $5,000. Individual tickets are $25 each. For information about tickets, call (813) 205-3195.
Story Project Is Topic At Sword Of Hope
SOUTH Speakers from the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute will speak at Friday's meeting of The American Cancer Society's Sword of Hope presentation.
The 10:30 a.m. meeting will be at the home of Anthony and Marilyn Messina.
The presenters will talk about the center's Seek and Speak Your Story project. Jeanne Mairn's topic is "Get Living or Get Dying," and James Agnew will speak about "My Voyage Through Time and Space."
Hostess for the luncheon are Trish Fisherman, Cheryl Anastasi, Barbara Rutkin, Barbara Shepard and Sylvia Smith. The luncheon is $15.

Dance Benefits Sacred Heart Academy
The Fabulous Rockers, a popular Tampa band in the 1960s, will perform at the Sacred Heart Alumni Association's fundraising dance Feb. 21.
The casual-dress event is from 8 a.m. to midnight at the Sacred Heart auditorium, 3515 N. Florida Ave. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Colonial Ancestor Topic Of Presentation
Janie MacBryde, Betty Nelson and Shelly Jakes will tell how their colonial ancestor is related to George Washington at the Feb. 19 meeting of Edmund Sheffield Chapter Colonial Dames XVII Century.

Woman's Club Sponsors Dinners
BAYSHORE - The Tampa Woman's Club will have two dinners, open to the public, this month at the group's clubhouse, 2910 Bayshore Blvd.
A spaghetti dinner is planned from 4 to 7 p.m. Feb. 24. It will include salad, dessert, Cuban bread and beverage, and will benefit Heifer International, an international food program. The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children. Takeout is available. Call (813) 839-7457 for information.
At 6:30 p.m. Feb. 28, the group will have an international dinner fundraiser to benefit children's charity projects. Roy Stone and his dance students will entertain.
