Don't miss 'Saltimbanco'

Cirque du Soleil's "Saltimbanco tour continues through Sunday at the St. Pete Times Forum, 401 Channelside Drive.

Saltimbanco is a signature Cirque du Soleil show, with a style that borrows from theater, dance and music, replete with flamboyant costumes, lighting and make-up. The current cast includes 49 artists, 15 of whom were part of the show's original big top tour.

Tickets are $40, $60, $75 and $110, with a 20-percent discount for children 12 and younger, and available at the box office or by calling Ticketmaster at (813) 287-8844.

FRIDAY

C'mon, get happy

Seventies teen heartthrob David Cassidy performs at 7 p.m. at Busch Gardens, 3000 E. Busch Blvd. as part of the park's lead-up to the Fourth of July.

Best known as Keith Partridge on the classic TV sitcom, The Partridge Family, Cassidy sings his legendary classics, including "Think I Love You," "Cherish," "Get Happy" and "Doesn't Somebody Want to Be Wanted."

Fabulous Thunderbirds

Spend Fourth of July weekend at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and enjoy a concert with the Fabulous Thunderbirds, a blues rock band formed in 1974 and an opening act for the likes of the Rolling Stones and Eric Clapton. Doors open at 7 p.m. with the show beginning at 8 p.m. at the Hard Rock, North Orient Road and Hillsborough Avenue.

Tickets are $25 and available at Ticketmaster, (813) 287-8844, or at the Hard Rock Retail Store. Military personnel can show an ID at the store and get $5 off.

'Rent' returns to TBPAC

"Rent, The Broadway Tour," starring original Broadway cast members Adam Rascal and Anthony Rapp, plays Tuesday through Sunday in Carol Morsani Hall at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, 1010 N. MacInnes Place.

Set in New York City's East Village, "Rent" is a modern take on the classic Puccini opera, "La Boheme." It tells the story of a group of young artists learning to survive, falling in love, finding their voices and living for today.

Jason Ricci & New Blood

Jason Ricci & New Blood play at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Skipper's Smokehouse, 910 Skipper Road.

Ricci mixes blues, rock, funk and jazz into a cohesion while keeping the fun, angst and energy of a punk rock band, tempered with the refinement of a jazz ensemble.
