Tampa Prep celebrates its grads

TAMPA - Members of Tampa Preparatory School's senior class and their families celebrated at the school's annual awards dinner, held May 28 at Higgins Hall. Head of School Kevin Plummer presented academic awards for excellence. This year's 125-member senior class was the largest in Tampa Prep history.
Award winners are Taylor Richardson, English; Phil Zimmerman, art; Grade Fredlake and Megan Braunstein, foreign/classical languages; and Charlie Baumann, mathematics and science.
The Alumni Association presented the 2009 Distinguished Alumnus Award to Paul L. Whiting Jr., Class of 1986; and the Alumni Spirit Award to seniors Mandy Steel and Danielle Dragna. The Faculty Award was presented to longtime faculty member Peter Shepley.
Seniors cheered the winners, and the evening ended with an video of the graduates when in middle school.
