TAMPA - Emerging artists from the Fine Arts Studios at MacDonald Training Center and Pyramid Inc. will debut their works with professional artists such as the Florida Highwaymen in the "101 Pieces of a Dream" on March 27.

The juried art exhibition at the Scarfone Hartley Gallery at the University of Tampa aims to celebrate creations by artists of varied backgrounds.

The MacDonald Training Center and Pyramid Inc. are non-profit organizations that serve adults with disabilities in the Tampa Bay area and have art programs which have been affected by recent cuts in government funding.

Professional participants include Carolyn Heller and photographer Terri Klaaren. Glass artist Duncan McClellan created the signature auction piece. The 100 other works of art will be for sale, with proceeds divided among the artists and benefiting organizations.

Former Tampa mayor Sandy Freedman will be honorary chairperson for a patrons party and sale from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday the 27th. Final sale of artwork and public viewing will be from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. on March 28.

Tickets to the patron's party and sale are $25 and available at www.macdonaldcenter.org or by calling Rita Hattab at MacDonald Training Center, (813) 870-1300, extension 252.
