SOUTH TAMPA - St. John's Episcopal Parish Day School staged an evening of music and art March 5 during the school's annual Celebrate the Arts event.
First- through fourth-graders demonstrated their musical abilities, singing, playing recorders and boom-whackers, with selections from Beethoven to "Bingo." The middle school pupils also presented a selection from the upcoming musical "Godspell."
Student art, created by students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade, lined the Parish Hall. Art ranged from hand-printed blue crabs, created by preschoolers, to modular sculptures constructed by eighth-graders.
