Ice fantasy at the Forum

Disney on Ice presents "Worlds of Fantasy," featuring four classic and current Disney stories, Thursday through Sunday at the St. Pete Times Forum, 401 Channelside Drive.

Beloved characters from Disney/Pixar's "Cars," Disney's "The Lion King" and "The Little Mermaid," as well as the magical cast of fairies from Disney's "Tinker Bell" will be showcased.

Show times are 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 11:30 a.m., 3:30 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 1 and 5 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $17.75, $23.75, $31.75, $41.75 (VIP), $51.75 for floor seats and $76.75 for fantasy dining, and available at the box office or by calling Ticketmaster at (813) 287-8844.

FRIDAY

Empowered anniversary

Empowered, an organization for Tampa Bay area young professionals interested in helping the Red Cross, celebrates its first anniversary at 8 p.m. at Luna Lounge, 1802 E. Seventh Ave. in Ybor City. Enjoy a night of celebration and relive a simpler time with Otis Velt & the Old School Band, an Animal House tribute band

The event is open to the public, and anyone age 21 and older is welcome to attend. For details, go to www.empowered tampabay.org.

SATURDAY

'Upstairs/Downstairs' hits road

The Henry B. Plant Museum's "Upstairs/Downstairs at the Tampa Bay Hotel" travels to the Port Tampa Community Center, 4702 W. McCoy St., from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Admission is free.

The museum's curator of education, Gianna Russo, will chronicle the building and effect of the Tampa Bay Hotel and the life of its famous builder, Henry Plant. The audience then will be treated to two performances of "Upstairs/Downstairs at the Tampa Bay Hotel."

Step back in time and enjoy a theatrical, single-character vignette that brings to life a turn-of-the-century Tampa Bay Hotel staff member or guest. Based on hotel research, each character presents a different perspective of the time.

Following the performances, Hillsborough County historian Dr. Robert Kerstein will clarify Plant's pivotal role and answer questions about Tampa's history. For details, call (813) 258-7302.

ALL WEEKEND

Calling all captains

The Tampa Bay Boat Show sails into the Expo Hall at the Florida State Fairgrounds, 4800 U.S. 301 N., Friday through Sunday.

Millions of dollars of inventory in new boats and watercraft will be on display, and visitors can shop for the latest boating supplies and accessories or attend a series of Florida fishing school seminars.

Show hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free; parking is $5.

Remembering the Fab Four

Come together and relive Beatlemania when "Rain: A Tribute to the Beatles" plays in Carol Morsani Hall at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, 1010 N. MacInnes Place, on Saturday and Sunday.

The live performance covers the Fab Four from the beginnings through the psychedelic late '60s and their long-haired hippie, hard-rocking, rooftop days.

Show times are 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 and 7 p.m. Sunday. Tickets start at $39.50 and may be purchased online at www.tbpac .org or by calling (813) 229-7827.
