SOUTH TAMPA - Christ the King Catholic School students walked, skipped and ran around a specially designed track during Hillsborough County's first Boosterthon Fun Run on Sept. 24.
The Boosterthon program incorporates education, character and fitness into a week-and-a-half program where students are encouraged to take initiative to solicit pledges for laps they will run. The program has an educational and character theme, culminating in the Boosterthon Fun Run, where children run an average of 25 to 35 laps.
