The 1998 graduating class at Christ the King Catholic School held its 10-year reunion Dec. 26. Among the class of 37 former students, 16 came to the gathering (the third reunion in the last 10 years) organized by the graduates at CDBs Southside Italian Restaurant & Bar. With the help of Facebook and MySpace, they have kept in touch with each other. At the reunion, the friends watched their class video, originally shown at graduation, which featured photographs of each student from infancy through eighth grade, along with group photos from throughout the years. ...more

When Eddie Kenny set foot on the Spring Hill campus of Bishop McLaughlin Catholic School, he must have been hit with an instant rush. The Dad's Club at Christ the King Catholic School on Dec. 5 sponsored Dads and Donuts Toy Drive. Students and faculty donated more than 1,500 toys which were donated to Salesian Youth Center, St. Peter Claver Catholic School and Redlands Christian Migrant Association. Jared Fogle, a spokesman for Subway Restaurants, visited Christ the King Catholic School on Nov. 7 while in Tampa to promote the American Heart Association Heart Walk.
