Not long ago we were wondering how the federal economic stimulus legislation then being battled over in the nation's capital, which contains a boatload of bucks for roads and other infrastructure elements, would stimulate Pasco County's economy in time to make a real difference. Many Pasco road projects might skid into a ditch when it comes to qualifying for the first phase of the federal economic stimulus. Nobody quite knows for sure just yet since the ink isn't dry on the stimulus legislation before Congress, according to Donald Skelton, the District 7 secretary for the Florida Department of Transportation. The Police Department wanted to remind motorists the speed limit along Main Street is 25 mph, Capt. Jeff Harrington said.
