Attention seniors: For the first time in history there will not be an increase in the Social Security cost of living adjustment (COLA). There may not be any for the next three years. That does not mean your Social Security benefit will stay the same, it will decrease! Your Medicare premium will increase from $96.40 to $104.20 in 2010 and to $120.20 in 2011. Your part D cost will probably also increase. But Congress voted themselves a big raise, between $4,700 and $5,300. ...more

This goes out to all the people of our good nation. I read in the paper the other day about Social Security benefits, where some are not getting a cost of living increase in their checks. Some are even getting cut and their Medicare and Medicaid premiums are going up. Boy oh boy, talk about helping us out. Let's just make things a little worse. ...more
